What to Expect During Your Dental Visit

A Warm Welcome From the Start

From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted with a smile. Our front desk team will help you get settled, answer your questions, and guide you through a simple check-in process. If it’s your first visit, we’ll review your medical and dental history and ensure you’re comfortable in our relaxing office environment.

Comprehensive Exam and Cleaning

Your visit begins with a gentle and thorough dental cleaning. We remove plaque and tartar, polish your teeth, and review your brushing and flossing habits. At Kallos Dental, we use Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), which is a gentler approach to traditional cleanings, and is visually aided by disclosing biofilm and plaque on your teeth. By disclosing biofilm allows us to pinpoint any areas where may need to focus while brushing your teeth. Afterward, Dr. Rachael will perform a full oral exam—checking your teeth, gums, bite, and any existing restorations.

Digital X-Rays and Diagnostic Tools

To get a complete picture of your oral health, we may take low-radiation digital X-rays. Digital X-rays detect issues not visible during the visual exam, such as cavities between teeth, bone loss, or impacted teeth. If needed, we may also use an intraoral camera to show you exactly what we see.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on your exam and X-ray results, Dr. Rachael will walk you through any findings and discuss recommended treatments, if needed. We take time to explain your options and answer any questions. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your oral health and next steps.

Comfort Is Our Priority During Your Dental Visit

Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth time visiting Kallos Dental, we focus on making each appointment a comfortable experience. You’ll find amenities like noise-canceling headphones, cozy blankets, and streaming services to help you relax.
